The R&D Director, Pipeline, will lead a team of scientists and medical writers in the discovery, development, and validation of devices and molecular biomarkers to improve disease diagnosis, prognosis, and/or prediction of therapy response. This role directs experimental design and data organization in collaboration with the R&D pipeline and data science teams to ensure the timely achievement of product development milestones. The Director supervises the organization, auditing, and interpretation of clinical and technical data from ongoing studies and collaborates with Castle's Laboratories to support test development and clinical study planning. Engaging KOLs to foster scientific collaboration, the Director also drives publication, data presentation, and project deliverables. The role oversees scientific writing for pipeline projects, including peer-reviewed publications, meeting abstracts, and educational materials, while managing R&D personnel in day-to-day test and device evaluation, discovery, development, data analysis, and medical writing. The Director works cross-functionally with departments such as Business Development, Medical Affairs, and Marketing to support product evaluation and ensure preparedness for test development, validation, and launch.
