  • Participate in a rotational program to develop skills in multiple divisions within the Drill Bits product service line.
  • Apply functional specifications and engineering tools to design hardware for product changes and new developments.
  • Assist in the analysis, modification, and design of multiple products and projects of greater complexity.
  • Prepare component specifications and document designs following established work processes.
  • Use engineering tools to document and compare results in controlled databases.
  • Identify testing objectives at a component level in accordance with Halliburton's Health, Safety, and Environment procedures and evaluate test results.
  • Collaborate with mentors to understand the requirements for submitting invention disclosures and recognize ideas with IP potential.
  • Work within a broad team including design engineers, manufacturing operators, technicians, and quality control personnel.
  • Advise and assist in handling field and manufacturing problems to maintain and improve products and services.
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline.
  • 1-3 years of mechanical design experience.
  • Proficiency in CAD, preferably in Siemens NX or Solidworks.
  • Experience with CAE solvers such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar.
  • Ability to create and check engineering drawings.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to develop new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting.
  • Project management skills related to process development.
  • Proven leadership abilities.
