About The Position
The NICU RCP must demonstrate proficiency in the neonatal intensive care area and provide respiratory therapy to neonates as ordered by physicians, according to established standards and practice.
Requirements
- Graduate of an AMA accredited School for Respiratory Therapy or equivalent
- Current CA RCP license
- Current Heathcare Provider BLS
- Current ACLS
- Current NRP
- Current PALS, within 30 days of hire
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience in Respiratory Services or respiratory related care with demonstrated experience in NICU respiratory therapy preferred.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred
Responsibilities
- providing safe, quality respiratory patient care
- teaching to patients and families
- collaboration with the health care team
- participation in on-going feedback regarding performance improvement
- implementation of clinical pathway/plan of care to guide patient care delivery
