About The Position

The Quote Analyst position at Ducommun involves preparing cost estimates and price quotations for new business and redesigns of existing business. The role requires compiling and reviewing data that influences costs, making recommendations on the bid/quote process, and interfacing with customers to gather necessary information. The analyst will also analyze customer requests and ensure compliance in quotations while managing multiple projects within established deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3 years experience with mechanical and/or electrical products in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong computational skills and analytical skills.
• Ability to conceptualize and understand technical reports, data, drawings, etc.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects at a time.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and able to navigate the Internet efficiently.
• Able to work with a high level of accuracy.
• Professional attitude and demeanor; problem-solving and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Compile and review data on factors that can influence costs.
• Make recommendations on proceeding with the bid/quote process and interface with customers to obtain necessary information.
• Initiate inquiries for price information from potential suppliers.
• Develop accurate cost information for labor and/or materials associated with quotes for mechanical business.
• Prepare cost estimates and price quotations on new business and redesigns of existing business within established deadlines.
• Ensure backup information is saved in the quote folder.
• Make sound and accurate judgments based on previous knowledge.
• Analyze customer requests for quotes, proposals, and technical data packages to ensure compliant quotations.
• Analyze material and labor estimates to ensure fair and reasonable prices.
• Adhere to General Requirements of Team Members.
• Perform other assignments as required.
• Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
