About The Position

As the Quickbase Delivery Team Manager at VeilSun , you will drive functional management, process standardization, and operational excellence across our Quickbase Practice team. This role is responsible for leading and developing team members. This high-impact leadership position combines coaching and people development, staffing and load balancing, and day-to-day people management. You will work closely with the Practice Technical Manager, VP of Delivery, HR, and Operations. Purpose of this Position Build and sustain a high-performing Quickbase Practice by developing talent, protecting utilization discipline, and ensuring consistent professional standards across all engagements. This role owns the capability, capacity, and performance health of the Quickbase team. Business Outcomes Success in this role means the team is skilled, fully leveraged, aligned, and continuously improving. You will be measured on: Sustained utilization, billability, and bench strength targets Accurate 6-9 month staffing forecasts aligned to demand Proactive hiring recommendations based on trigger thresholds Retention and development of high-performing team members Clear KPI reporting on functional health Compliance with VeilSun operating standards and values

Requirements

  • Functional leadership experience in professional services, consulting, and/or delivery organizations.
  • Strong operational and leadership acumen, including utilization management, staffing strategy, and margin drivers.
  • Experience translating demand forecasts into hiring and capacity decisions.
  • Comfortable presenting performance insights to senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop professionals
  • Comfort making difficult staffing and performance decisions

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building contractor or partner capacity for surge support.
  • Quickbase, Mendix, or other low-code platform experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Workforce Planning & Utilization Translate forecasted demand into rolling staffing plans Lead staffing decisions across projects to optimize load balance and skill alignment Reallocate resources to protect margin and delivery performance Coordinate with PMO and shared services for effective resource allocation Plan and execute smooth transitions between projects
  • Talent & Performance Management Hire and onboard high-performing Quickbase low code developers Partner with the Practice Technical Manager to elevate technical standards Conduct structured one-on-ones and performance reviews Create clear career growth paths and certification plans Set and track SMART goals aligned to role expectations Address performance issues directly and professionally Partner with HR on improvement plans when necessary Reinforce VeilSun values, professional expectations, company processes and governance
