About The Position

The LeadCar Honda Yorkville team, with a legacy dating back to 1933, is seeking a Quick Lube Technician to join and lead their team in the Yorkville, NY market area. Responsibilities

  • Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with the Company and factory standards.
  • Works hands-on with vehicles, including but not limited to changing oil and filters, adding fluids, checking tire pressures as well as inspecting for other necessary work.
  • Reads and accurately completes Multipoint Inspection forms.
  • Works closely as a team with constant communication.
  • Speaks with customers in a polite and professional manner.
  • Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
  • Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
  • Attends shop meetings as requested.
  • Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Documents work performed on repair order and documents test procedures/results.
  • Ensures customers' cars are kept clean.
  • Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
  • Keeps shop area neat and clean.
  • Responsible for providing and maintaining an inventory of normal mechanic tools to include screwdrivers, wrenches, socket wrenches, pliers, hammers, chisels and punches, and other tools needed to perform the work for which the technician is trained and not normally inventoried by the service department as ‘special tools’.
  • Maintains and is accountable for all Company-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received.
  • Acquire and maintain manufacturer and Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications by completing the necessary and required training.
  • Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, including but not limited to hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right-to-Know.
  • Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the Company, its personnel, or customers.
  • Maintain personal grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards according to departmental policies.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
