Chuck Spaeth Ford is looking to hire a Full-Time Quick Lane Technician that specializes in maintenance and light repair work. The applicant would focus on quick, high volume jobs (oil changes, brakes, tires, alignments and front end suspension, filters, batteries, etc.). The applicant would have the ability to work as a team and independently and efficiently. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. 8 hour shift with hours that could vary from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Rotating Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. (applicant would receive a day off during the week, usually one Saturday per month) On the job training is provided. Pay is starting at $18.00-$20.00 per hour, depending on experience. The technician must perform any and all repairs and services within his or her area of expertise, as well as any and all service, maintenance and support work related to the operation. The key requirements for a technician are as follows: Strong orientation to customer service Desire and ability to perform all types of repair and service work Ability to communicate well with customers and dealer personnel Current knowledge and technical proficiency regarding the operation's products and services Sufficient personal tools to perform work Valid driver's license The primary responsibilities and duties of a Quick Lane technician are as follows: Visually inspect the vehicle for damage and missing component parts, and immediately report and damage or lost items to management Complete the Vehicle Inspection Report, and communicate the findings to management and/or the customer Perform all repairs and services indicated on the Vehicle Inspection Report and the Repair Estimate. If additional needed repairs and services are discovered, immediately communicate that information to management Follow proper operational and safety procedures when mounting, dismounting and balancing tires, adjusting air pressures, tightening lug nuts, etc. Visually inspect all tire and wheel assemblies for damage or safety issues; repair all tires from the inside using proper procedures; and report any tire or tube which has been run flat, or which has any damage that would render it unsafe Maintain all personal and company-provided tools and equipment in proper operating condition, and report missing or damaged tools and equipment to management Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment as required Comply with all OSHA, state and local laws regarding safety, hazardous materials and environmental matters Attend product, service, equipment and safety training as directed Use appropriate safety equipment in the performance of the job Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of the facility, including the storage of new and used parts, tires and other items Report any security violations or unsafe conditions Assist fellow employees as required Suggest products, services, equipment or practices which will improve sales, safety, efficiency, or customer satisfaction Perform any and all service and maintenance work related to the operation of the facility
