Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Customer Service Representative, or in a similar role within the automotive industry is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • A genuine commitment to providing excellent customer service and building long-term customer relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize work in a busy environment.
  • Proven ability to upsell products and services while maintaining customer trust and satisfaction.
  • Basic understanding of automotive maintenance and repair services is a plus.
  • Proficiency with dealership management software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant technology.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers as they arrive at the Quick Lane, assess their vehicle service needs, and provide them with detailed information on recommended services.
  • Advise customers on necessary maintenance and repair services based on vehicle inspections, manufacturer recommendations, and dealership guidelines.
  • Efficiently manage and schedule service appointments to optimize workflow and minimize customer wait times.
  • Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicle, including any additional work needed, estimated completion times, and associated costs.
  • Upsell additional services and products based on customer needs and vehicle condition, ensuring a balance between customer satisfaction and dealership profitability.
  • Accurately document all service work, including parts, labor, and any special instructions, in the dealership’s management system.
  • Work closely with technicians, parts advisors, and other service team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of all service work.
  • Conduct follow-up calls with customers to ensure they are satisfied with the service received and encourage repeat business.
