About The Position

We have an immediate full-time opening for a Quarry Utility Operator at our Valley Plant in the Galesburg, IL area. This is a 1st shift, Monday through Friday position, with occasional Saturdays required depending on business needs. Candidates must be dependable and available to work overtime as needed. Flexibility in their day, ability to adapt to changes, and the willingness to help the team in whatever way is needed is crucial. This role could be summarized as a “jack-of-all” type position. Operating heavy equipment, welding, wrench turning, routine and emergency maintenance would all be within the day-to-day. This would be great for someone who thrives off variety in their work and is excellent with their hands. Requirements

Safety-Focused
Driven to provide excellent customer service
Experience operating heavy equipment and welding, preferred
Ability to perform duties in all weather conditions
Self-motivated with a solid work ethic

Responsibilities

Follow all safety and environmental rules, regulations and procedures as set forth by company policies and MSHA
Operate and maintain a variety of equipment, including but not limited to, front-end loaders, skid steers, man-lifts, telehandlers, and aggregate processing equipment
Provide excellent customer service if interacting with customers, while communicating well with co-workers to achieve common goals
Simple welding and fabrication during projects and daily maintenance
Perform pre-shift inspections, fueling and greasing, preventive maintenance, and cleaning as required.
Communicate with management on all safety, maintenance, and production needs
Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
