About The Position

The Quarry Laborer will be responsible for various tasks at the aggregate site. This position involves understanding and applying safe use and operation of the equipment, performing plant repair, maintenance, and fabrication as directed, and maintaining a clean work area. The Quarry Laborer must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Requirements

• Previous aggregate experience preferred.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Welding experience strongly preferred.
• Display a professional attitude toward co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
• Welding and cutting torch experience.
• General knowledge of plant maintenance.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instruction.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Understands and applies safe use and operation of the equipment and communicates with other employees about safety related matters.
• Performs all functions in a safe manner in accordance with company policy and procedures.
• Performs plant repair, maintenance and fabrication as directed.
• Inform supervisor of any maintenance or repairs needed.
• Maintains a clean work area.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
