About The Position

Chaney Enterprises is seeking an experienced Quarry Manager to oversee daily operations at one of our aggregate facilities. This role is responsible for leading production activities, maintaining a strong safety culture, and ensuring efficient operation of equipment and plant systems. We are looking for a hands-on operations leader who understands aggregate production and enjoys leading crews, building and improving processes, and keeping operations running safely and efficiently. If you currently work in quarry, mining, or heavy materials operations and are ready to take ownership of production performance and team leadership, this role offers the opportunity to make a real impact.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in aggregate production, mining, quarry operations, or heavy materials processing
  • 1-2+ years of prior supervisory experience
  • Understanding of aggregate processing equipment, crushing and screening operations, and heavy equipment
  • Familiarity with MSHA safety standards and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to lead crews and maintain a productive, safety-focused work environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to identify operational issues and resolve them quickly
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • High School Diploma required

Nice To Haves

  • MSHA training and safety certifications preferred
  • Technical training or college coursework in mining, engineering, or related field is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily aggregate production including drilling, blasting coordination, crushing, screening, stockpiling, and material handling
  • Ensure production targets are met while maintaining product quality and operational efficiency
  • Coordinate production schedules with plant operations, maintenance teams, and contractors
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety-first culture
  • Ensure compliance with MSHA regulations and company safety programs
  • Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and reinforce safe operating practices
  • Lead and supervise plant and equipment operators
  • Train and mentor team members to strengthen operational skills and safety awareness
  • Support performance management and address employee concerns when necessary
  • Monitor production output, equipment utilization, and operational metrics
  • Assist in developing operational plans that improve productivity and reliability
  • Ensure aggregate inventory levels align with production goals and sales demand
  • Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure equipment is inspected, maintained, and operating efficiently
  • Assist in coordinating equipment repairs, maintenance schedules, and equipment needs
