About The Position
As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic / Plant Operator at Silvi Materials, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our rock quarry equipment. This position requires a hands-on approach to the installation, maintenance, and repair of production and production-related equipment. You will be responsible for performing skilled maintenance on various machinery, including rock crushers, conveyor belts, and electrical panels. Your ability to demonstrate initiative, responsibility, and good interpersonal skills will be essential in this fast-paced and fluid business environment. In this role, you will inspect equipment to determine the nature of any difficulties or malfunctions and take necessary actions to restore equipment to good operating order. You will evaluate equipment failures for root causes, communicate your findings, and suggest improvements. Daily responsibilities include performing rounds to observe machine operations, following preventative maintenance schedules, and recording all pertinent information. You will also assist with maintenance and repairs on compressors, generators, fans, motors, pumps, gearboxes, mixers, blowers, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
