About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled, technical and dynamic Public Sector & Government Affairs Lead to expand our engagements within the US government and governmental institutions. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of the intersection between quantum computing technologies and public funding. This role requires a candidate who can identify opportunities where quantum technologies can solve critical challenges, design and advocate for tailored solutions, and lead large-scale engagements from conception to delivery. The successful candidate will have a unique combination of technical expertise, public sector experience, and strategic leadership capabilities. As the Public Sector & Government Affairs Lead, you'll be driving the strategy and day to day operations of the US public funding funnel. You'll be interacting with A&B key partners including National laboratories, Fortune 500 and academic institutions to collaborate on innovative projects funded by the US government. You will be reporting to the US General Manager.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in the public sector in a similar role
• Previous experience in quantum computing is a strong plus
• Strong scientific background in either Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Sciences
• Strong technical acumen, and proven ability to work across cross-functional teams
• Ability to identify, establish, and leverage key relationships
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and pursuing relevant funding opportunities across civilian and defense sectors
• Preparing and submitting comprehensive application packages including technical proposal, administrative documentation, and compliance requirements
• Overseeing project execution, ensuring milestones are met, deliverables are achieved, and regular progress reports are submitted to the funding agency
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with program managers at civilian and defense U.S. agencies to align on objectives and priorities
• Conducting proactive research and intelligence gathering to stay informed about upcoming funding opportunities and agency priorities
• Representing A&B at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to promote organizational expertise and foster strategic partnerships.
