About The Position

Responsible for integrating functional hardware and software modules into Quantum Processing Units (QPUs) while architecting and running a quantum computing service. Designing, testing, and deploying software and hardware systems for QuEra’s quantum computers. Identifying, designing, automating, optimizing, and deploying calibration routines for Neutral Atom quantum computers. Developing, operating and monitoring quantum hardware systems for Neutral Atom quantum computers. Determining and documenting the requirements for each software and hardware component. Integrating quantum systems to make them functional and high-performing QPUs. Validating and approving component modules as they go from one engineering team to the next in the build process. Working closely with the QPU innovation team to transfer the new designs to validate and make them reproducible. Working with customers to enable them to effectively use quantum computers. Train new team members as needed. As needed, lead the execution of scientific or engineering development projects on QuEra’s quantum computing systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in physics or computer science
  • Foundation in Computer Architecture or Operating Systems
  • Completion of a year-long research project in an experimental physics laboratory
