About The Position

Amazon's Center for Quantum Computing in Pasadena, CA, is looking to hire a Hardware Development Engineer. You will join a multi-disciplinary team of experimental and theoretical physicists, materials scientists, and hardware and software engineers working at the forefront of quantum computing. We are looking for candidates who exemplify strong engineering principles, resourcefulness, a bias for action, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and really good communication skills. Working effectively within a team environment is essential. A robust background in physics or engineering is required. Effective day-to-day scripting skills are also critical for this role. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent
  • Knowledge of a scripting language (Python, R, etc.)
  • Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
  • Knowledge of tools and measurement devices (oscilloscope, frequency analyzer, or equivalent)
