Advances in quantum technologies have propelled quantum computing from a theoretical physics field to experimental physics and engineering. A challenge for the computer industry is to design and implement a reliable quantum computer that can efficiently execute quantum algorithms. Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field and 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • 1+ years' experience in designing quantum error correction protocols.
  • 1+ years' experience with Industrial Quantum computing.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years' experience with quantum error correction protocols.
  • Experience with hardware/software codesign of a quantum computing system.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver significant results in a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the research and development of quantum error correction protocols for fully fault tolerant quantum computing systems.
  • Explore the performance of technology alternatives, collaborating with algorithm and application researchers, software engineers and hardware engineers to explore hardware/software trade-offs in the implementation of quantum error correcting codes.
  • Collaborate closely with both quantum computing hardware and software teams.
