About The Position

We are actively seeking a Quantum Analyst to join the Construction Advisory & Disputes Team. We are seeking applicants that have a specialization in construction quantum delay analysis. This position is for a professional who has knowledge or experience with contract and/or change order management, critical path scheduling analysis, preparation of change orders or claims, cost analysis and quantification of damages, review of drawings and specifications, and other engineering and construction-related documents. The candidate will assist the quantum expert(s) and/or the lead analyst. This individual will perform damages quantification, including loss of productivity analysis, prolongation costs analysis, additional work assessment and contract assessments, and will contribute to the expert report preparation. An individual is required who can show initiative, perform advanced data research, manage client relations and deliver on tight deadlines. This role will involve frequent client interaction and will require the successful candidate to prepare and make presentations to communicate results. The individual will have experience in the management and/or control of construction projects, preferably in the infrastructure and energy sectors. Ideally, in addition to this experience, the individual will have previous experience in providing consultancy services on substantial and/or complex disputes. They should be able to demonstrate experience in writing reports to a high level and have strong industry experience in large construction and engineering projects. We anticipate that the successful candidate will have a good academic record and be able to demonstrate how they have distinguished themselves within their chosen field. They will be expected to work collaboratively with the team and deliver assignments to the client’s satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 4-6+ years of experience in the construction and engineering industry, with a focus on construction claims, cost control, and, change order management.
  • A recognized undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, accounting, or similar from a leading university.
  • Obtained or in the process of obtaining professional license and/or professional certifications (e.g. professional engineer or engineer in training, cost professional, project management professional or equivalent).
  • Excellent oral and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Professionalism and client-facing ability, able to build trust.
  • A strong technical foundation in project planning and control.
  • Relationship building and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc, as well as construction programming software (i.e., Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project).
  • A flexible approach to their work.
  • An understanding of the demands of project-based work, able to work under pressure and an ability to meet deadlines.
  • A sense of personal responsibility for the quality of their work.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluent in English. Command of Spanish is desired but not essential.
