About The Position

DL Trading develops algorithms to trade all major US sports. Founded in 2020 by veterans of the financial trading and sports betting industries, DL Trading offers a 10-week internship opportunity with a team of quants and traders who build quantitative algorithmic predictive models for algorithmic sports betting. Interns will receive feedback and mentorship from collaborative employees in various roles, gaining hands-on experience in the trading industry while applying algorithmic, statistical, and engineering concepts to the sports betting sector. The internship provides exposure to various fields including quantitative research, object-oriented development, and production engineering, allowing interns to work across multiple sports and projects in a start-up environment.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple demands.
• Interest in building solutions and solving problems.
• Interest in sports and sports analytics/sabermetrics, with a request to share relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience and proficiency in statistical modeling, especially predictive modeling in Python/R.
• Experience in Python development on a Linux platform.
• Experience in building algorithmic trading models in financial markets or sports betting.
• Knowledge of quantitative sports gambling or daily fantasy sports.

Nice To Haves

• Past internship or job experience in a trading, quantitative, or engineering role.
• Advanced coursework in statistics, optimization, operations research, and computer science.
