About The Position

The Quantitative Risk Intelligence Analyst will provide specialized analytical support to the Risk Management Division. Their efforts to develop, implement, monitor, and document various quantitative analyses will support the growth of the ERM, Data Governance, and Model Risk programs while providing credible challenge to the Bank’s accelerated data-driven undertakings in other divisions. Their data and communication skills will provide connective tissue between disparate topics and skillsets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (statistics, mathematics, finance, etc.) with 3+ years of experience with data/risk intelligence OR advanced degree in a quantitative field with 1+ years of experience with data/risk intelligence
  • Proficiency in building data visualizations and dashboards using business intelligence (BI) tools
  • Ability to apply quantitative rigor to areas lacking structured analysis
  • Strong foundation in statistics and mathematics
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
  • Capacity to distill complex concepts into clear, concise insights tailored to diverse stakeholder audiences
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Strong written communication skills, especially when conveying technical information
  • Comfort working in environments with limited structure, process, or established procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Banking industry experience preferred
  • Familiarity with risk philosophy and principles
  • Understanding of modeling theory and its practical applications
  • Experience with databases and quality assurance testing using SQL or similar database language
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and deal efficiently with competing deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, develop, and enhance the quantitative components of the risk management framework. This includes data reporting, visualization, and optimization; applying analytics to bring objectivity to subjective processes; and supporting data governance and data quality initiatives.
  • Provide quantitative support and thought leadership for the model risk program. Responsibilities include conducting non-validation quality assurance activities, performing risk assessments, and strengthening the overall framework.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of enterprise-wide and line-of-business stress testing by analyzing macroeconomic trends, performing sensitivity analyses, aggregating results, and translating complex data into actionable insights through clear visualizations and presentations.
