This job is responsible for leading teams and large initiatives focused on developing and maintaining models for the line of business, including volume forecasts, capacity plans, and vendor models. Key responsibilities include presenting findings to key stakeholders and ensuring compliance to Model Risk Management (MRM) standards. Job expectations include strong leadership skills, strong quantitative skills, and experience in time series forecasting, simulation modelling, operations research, and analytics.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of people management experience
  • 3+ years of fraud experience in an operational setting
  • 3+ Python Data analysis software
  • 3+ SQL Data Analysis software
  • Good understanding of SAS programming
  • Data analytics experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of payment processing systems
  • Model supervisory experience
  • Ability to engage with all levels of organization
  • Six sigma, single process inventory and/or TQM (total quality management) experience
  • Innovative - Continually research and evaluate emerging technologies. Stay current on published state-of-the-art methods, technologies, and applications and seek out opportunities to apply them.
  • Technical - Comfortable with open-source languages and are passionate about developing further. Hands-on experience developing data science solutions using open-source tools and cloud computing platforms.
  • Ability to challenge conventional thinking and work with stakeholders to identify and improve the status quo.
  • You’re passionate about talent development for your own team and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees model lifecycle for line of business models, including volume forecasts, capacity plans, and vendor models
  • Drives organizational strategy to improve model lifecycle processes
  • Drives horizontal consistency in model development, visualization, and usage across peer groups
  • Conducts routine model production and performance presentations with executive leadership
  • Ensures adherence to Model Risk Management (MRM) requirements
  • Supports ongoing model monitoring to improve forecasting performance and efficiency
  • Models an inclusive environment for employees and clients, aligned to company Great Place to Work goals.
  • Demonstrates deep process knowledge, operational excellence and innovation through a focus on simplicity, data based decision making and continuous improvement.
  • Communicates enterprise decisions, purpose, and results, and connects to team strategy, priorities and contributions.
  • Ensures proper risk discipline, controls and culture are in place to identify, escalate and debate issues.
  • Provides inspection, coaching and feedback to motivate, differentiate and improve performance.
  • Actively manages expenses and budgets in alignment with objectives, making sound financial decisions.
  • Assesses talent and builds bench strength for roles across the organization.
  • Delivers results by effectively prioritizing, inspecting and appropriately delegating team work.
