About The Position

The Director of Quantitative Finance is an integral part of the Financial Planning & Analysis team in the CFO Organization. The role acts as a strategic business partner across the organization, providing timely and actionable information to enable sound business decision making and to assist senior management in completing our strategic objectives. This role partners with both business and functional team members to provide transparency into financial performance with speed and accuracy, acting as the analytical backbone of the company to provide insights and support for key business decisions. The role will act as an adviser to DTCC senior leaders on strategic business opportunities, mergers & acquisitions, divestitures and partnerships to deliver DTCC's corporate strategy. Reporting into the MD of Financial Planning and Analysis, the Director will partner with senior leaders across the firm to support strategic decision making. This role will primarily support the corporate and product strategy function(s) and will be critical in supporting the evaluation of business development opportunities. In this role, you will drive a standardized approach to quantitative financial analysis and for decision making, while partnering across the business and functions to understand our strategic priorities and to translate and evaluate the financial impact of new initiatives and/or business opportunities. Additionally, as part of the Financial Planning & Analysis team, you will also participate in the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, as well as contributing to the creation of materials and providing recommendations to influence strategic decisions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and assumptions for financial model inputs.
  • Conduct industry and company research as needed.
  • Assist in presenting information succinctly to drive decision making.
  • Build and develop a quantitative financial analysis discipline to support transactions, strategic business planning, operational modeling and to evaluate investment opportunities.
  • Develop robust business proposals in support of the corporate strategy ensuring value and benefits being realized are clearly articulated and measurable.
  • Provide strategic support to business and functional heads through financial performance insights and evaluation of critical initiatives.
  • Lead ad-hoc analyses and drive business decision making around topics such as client pricing, competitive analysis, new business opportunities, allocation of resources and more.
  • Partner with corporate strategy and product strategy lead(s) to develop strategic objectives outline and prepare ad-hoc analysis in support of new business opportunities, acquisitions or investments.
  • Develop scenario planning capabilities to facilitate an ongoing strategy dialogue among DTCC's senior leaders.
  • Provide financial analysis for various scenarios (including potential M&A) and insights into potential disruptors impacting DTCC and the industry.
  • Collaborate with key leaders across the organization to support organic and inorganic growth opportunities and ensure alignment with the corporate strategy.
  • Manage strategy for future mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
  • Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
  • Develop strategic relationships with senior executives and other key partners.
  • Mitigate risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.
