Position Overview: Freddie Mac’s Multifamily Modeling team within Multifamily Portfolio and Risk Management is seeking a Quantitative Analytics Senior Manager to lead the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of our model development governance framework and advance the team’s analytical discipline through systematic integration of domain expertise to deliver business-driven analytical solutions. This role will establish and sustain a model development environment that ensures strong governance integrity, transparent visibility, and consistently high-quality, business-aligned analytical outcomes across the model development lifecycle. This position will institutionalize transparent, controlled, and traceable practices while ensuring that analytical practices consistently reflect business priorities and that development activities meet the Enterprise’s Model Risk Standard, SOX, and regulatory expectations. This position operates at the intersection of quantitative modeling, governance, financial domain expertise, and analytical leadership. You will partner with model developers to transform existing workflows into governed, repeatable processes while maintaining productivity and driving analytical excellence. Your Impact: Model Development Governance Design & Excellence Lead the design, implementation and continuous enhancement of a comprehensive model development governance framework Improve transparency and traceability of modeling decisions, assumptions, and results Institutionalize structured review and quality checkpoints throughout the development lifecycle Monitor development progress and identify risks early to ensure timely and high-quality delivery Risk, Governance, and Quality Operationalize internal control, model risk management, and regulatory expectations within governance workflows Maintain development artifacts to support validation, audit, and ongoing model oversight Partner with Enterprise Model Risk and related functions to strengthen development standards Business Context Integration into Modeling Translate business objectives, product characteristics, and market conditions into modeling considerations Partner with model developers to incorporate business drivers into model structure, assumptions, and calibration Help evaluate modeling tradeoffs from a business and use-case perspective Ensure model behavior aligns with business realities and decision needs Stakeholder Coordination and Talent Development Establish structured coordination channels with Enterprise Model Risk, Internal Audit, and related control functions Serve as liaison between modeling teams and business stakeholders on domain-specific initiatives Develop and mentor team members to build sustainable governance capability and strengthen analytical discipline Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, or a related quantitative discipline (advanced degree preferred) 10+ years of experience in financial modeling, quantitative analytics, risk management, or related areas Excellent proficiency in MS Excel includes advanced functions, data analysis, and financial modeling capabilities Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, C++, SQL, or SAS Experience with designing and implementing model governance or control frameworks Experience working in a regulated environment or supporting audit, validation, or control processes Experience translating business strategy into modeling frameworks or analytical standards Experience building and maintaining stakeholder relationships across technical and business functions Demonstrated ability to manage complex analytical and cross-functional projects with limited supervision Strong organizational skills, communication skills, and attention to detail Keys to Success in this Role: Ownership of work, can-do attitude and collaborative mindset Strategic thinking with ability to design and evolve governance frameworks Structured problem-solving and analytical rigor Ability to translate business context into analytical and modeling requirements Strong process discipline with the ability to drive sustainable execution Excellent written and verbal communication Commitment to developing talent and building sustainable capabilities Current Freddie Mac employees please apply through the internal career site. Time-type:Full time FLSA Status:Exempt Freddie Mac offers a comprehensive total rewards package to include competitive compensation and market-leading benefit programs. This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $177,000 - $265,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
