About The Position

As part of the Wilshire family, you will contribute to an organization dedicated to helping investors improve their financial outcomes through customized portfolio solutions, research, and next-generation technologies. Wilshire advises on over $1 trillion in assets for institutional investors globally. This role is for a Quantitative Analyst - AVP who will monitor and manage alternative investment strategies and associated risk information. The position involves analyzing data, generating and reviewing reports, and conducting quantitative strategy research and due diligence. It requires knowledge of investment, financial, economic, and industry topics. The company is seeking self-motivated candidates with strong quantitative academic backgrounds and professional drive.

Requirements

Strong Programming background in Python and SQL
Experience in finance and knowledge of investments
Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze and recommend potential solutions to problems
Takes initiative and is highly motivated
Works effectively and productively in a team
Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills
Graduate degree in mathematics, computer science, engineering, or other quantitatively focused program
Strong academic track record
5-8 years relevant experience required

Responsibilities

Conduct quantitative research and translate analytical models into production systems
Lead the design and development of the analytics system
Build and operate scalable risk data, analytics, and reporting infrastructure
Investigate and analyze data errors, identifying causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
Partner with Investment, Product, Engineering, and Leadership
Communicate results internally and externally
