About The Position

Voloridge Investment Management was founded by David Vogel in 2009 and is based in Jupiter, FL. We incorporate advanced data science and mathematics into our systematic, market neutral investment strategies to exploit alpha opportunities we consider unique in financial markets. Our firm is comprised of award-winning predictive modelers, experienced data analysts, advanced technologists, and a group of dynamic business professionals. This role is a hybrid of systematic trading execution, production support, and trading & data infrastructure reliability. You’ll provide reliable coverage during the Asia-to-Europe handoff window, executing trades, monitoring automated activity, handling time-sensitive issues, and strengthening the processes, improving applications and observability around execution, risk controls, and system reliability. The work is roughly 75% trading coverage / production support and 25% systems, pipelines, and observability. Location: Remote (must be based in Hawaii) Hours: Non-standard schedule aligned to Asian market coverage through the European open and our overnight trading/data processes. Typical shift is ~12:00pm–10:00pm HST.

Requirements

  • Comfort working independently during non-standard Hawaii hours with a strong ownership mindset
  • Proficiency in Python (automation, monitoring, data handling)
  • Solid SQL skills and comfort working with production datasets
  • Experience operating or supporting mission-critical systems with high attention to detail
  • Exposure to modern pipeline concepts
  • Must be based in Hawaii and able to reliably work the stated coverage window

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with equity and futures market data, including electronic trading systems, market data
  • Familiarity with observability stacks (metrics/logs/traces), incident management, or on-call style operations
  • Experience with APIs/microservices and CI/CD practices
  • Exposure to data pipelines (ETL/ELT, batch and/or streaming) and basic production hygiene (logging, alerting, instrumentation)

Responsibilities

  • Execute and monitor systematic trading activity and critical overnight processes, responding quickly to issues, and reporting notable observations to Research
  • Investigate anomalies across trading, data, and downstream pipelines, then coordinate fixes with the right teams
  • Build and maintain execution, risk and observability dashboards, alerts, health checks, and reports that improve visibility and reliability
  • Support data pipelines that power strategy workflows
  • Continuously improve processes and automation to reduce manual work and operational risk
