About The Position

Duties: Create programs that access databases to extrapolate customers who meet the project criteria. Work closely with project teams to develop strategies for project execution. Produce requirements documentation used to guide the execution of projects. Collaborate with business partners by leveraging analytics and data insights for marketing strategy. Produce data validations on campaign populations to ensure marketing requirements are met. Identify correlations and trends in data and communicate impacts that could affect results of the campaign. Participate in quality code reviews and identify issues and errors for correction or improvement. Identify and implement ideas for global process improvements to increase department efficiency. Mentor new and junior associates. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Engineering (any), Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 3 years (36 months) of experience in the job offered or as Quant Analytics, Data Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any), Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 5 years (60 months) of experience in the job offered or as Quant Analytics, Data Engineer, or related occupation. Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience in the following: managing data, doing statistical analysis, and creating visual reports; using SAS products including Base, Macro, SAS SQL, SAS Connect, STAT, GRAPH, ETS, and ODS, in advanced data analysis and reporting; using SAS Access to connect and manage data from different databases, allowing for thorough analysis and reporting; SAS Macro Language and SAS SQL for automating data tasks, and using SAS Studio and SAS Enterprise Guide for analysis and reporting; using Autosys and Control-M to schedule and manage batch processes, ensuring smooth operations. This position requires any amount of experience with the following: designing, developing, testing, analyzing, and implementing SAS applications, ensuring they meet business needs effectively; SAS data step programming with functions, formats, informats, hash tables, date-time handling, and macros, for precise data work; SAS procedures including Proc SQL, Data Step Debugger, SAS Arrays, and summary processing, to handle and analyze complex data; creating, reviewing, and validating datasets, and converting them to formats including text, CSV, and DAT files; extracting and creating data tables using SAS Access and SAS SQL from big databases such as Oracle or Teradata, ensuring accurate data handling; extracting and analyzing data from Oracle and Teradata, using advanced queries to provide insights and support decisions; creating and maintaining Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Technical Design Documents (TDDs), ensuring clear communication of business and technical needs; developing and maintaining Unix shell scripts and programs to automate tasks and improve system performance; gap analysis for legacy processes, helping gather requirements and develop technical designs; statistical analysis, data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
