What a Day in Your Life Looks Like: Safety of Team Members Actively monitor team safety behaviors and workplace conditions within your zone and communicate any issues to the Supervisor and Maintenance as needed. Interpretation of Documents Must be able to thoroughly understand work orders, bills of material (BOMs), data releases, and drawings, and effectively train team members on their use. Tooling availability and Maintenance Ensures team members have the necessary tools and equipment within the work center to perform their roles and are responsible for maintaining those tools to prevent downtime during the shift. Manages tool vending through MSC machines and understand their operation and usage. Actively leads 5S practices within their zone, ensuring all tools and equipment have designated locations and that team members consistently follow established standards. Completes complete weekly 5S audits and communicate results and corrective actions on PPS boards. Training new team members Responsible for insuring training new team members . Quality of Product - Work Center Containment Must be accountable for product quality within your assigned zone and must have a thorough understanding of all applicable quality standards. You must ensure defect-free production by maintaining quality discipline on the floor and are responsible for training new team members on quality expectations and standards. Developing Leaders Develop the next WC Zone Team Lead. Development of QC Work Center Team Leads. 5S Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization within your assigned areas. You must have a strong understanding of the 5S audit process, including color codes and the four levels of 5S achievement, and be familiar with weekly and monthly 5S performance trends for their work centers. You are also expected to conduct 5S audits within your areas and drive continuous improvement. Lean Manufacturing Principles Must have good understanding of following Lean concepts JBPCO Lean Strategy Customer Satisfaction Team Building and Respect for People 8 types of "Wastes", Value added vs. non-value added Standard Work TAKT Quick Changeover (QCO) Process Flow Kaizen & Continuous Improvement Problem Solving
