About The Position

The Quality VIE position at Forvia in Toledo, Ohio, is part of an international young graduate program designed for individuals aged 18 to 28 from the European Economic Area. The role involves supporting quality deliverables during product development and launches, ensuring integration of quality tasks, and representing customer interests within the company. The position lasts for 18 months and offers opportunities for professional growth within a dynamic international team.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in engineering (industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or related), Quality specialization desirable.
  • Fluent English mandatory.
  • Knowledge of automotive industry or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to travel within Europe in case of need.
  • Proven experience in problem solving, audits, customer contact.
  • Proven experience in program management is a plus.
  • Practitioner about Quality tools: Functional analysis, FMEA, Special Characteristics, reliability, problem solving, variability reduction, etc.
  • Familiar with program management.
  • Good knowledge about Quality System Efficiency, would be appreciated.
  • Supplier management experience will be an advantage.
  • Leadership and autonomy.
  • Team player with strong communication skills.
  • Management abilities in a matrix environment.
  • International mind-set.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Quality tasks integration along program phases, successful launch and plant hand-over.
  • Ensure on time delivery of PMS work packages and key deliverables per program phases.
  • Actively work with Plant Quality to ensure smooth launch with plant & be the driver of Quality in new launches.
  • Follow Quality objectives defined during program phase and especially during pre-series, launch and ramp-up.
  • Review every new process linked with his/her product family (PQA & PSR).
  • Establish or update full documentation package (FMEA, KPC list, Control plan…) on their product family.
  • Ensure the respect of the quality standards (based on Control Plan, PFMEA, Standardize Work, etc.).
  • Establish and follow up action plan linked to Product & Process implementation.
  • Animate reverse FMEAs / Capitalize and transversalize improvements within program and plant teams.
  • Drive customer claims resolution process, ensuring robustness of problem solving (8D, QRCI...).
  • In case of non-conformity, ensure deployment of containment actions: with respect of standard TQW and corrective actions.
