About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Entry Level Composite Fabrication Tooling Quality Specialist to join our Quality Team in North Charleston, SC. The IRCSC Quality team plays a vital role in ensuring parts and assemblies meet type design, specifications, and engineering standards for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. By performing quality inspections, auditing, and collaborating closely with internal teams, this team helps deliver safe, reliable, and high-quality interiors for Boeing aircraft. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience with “Engineering Information Delivery (Engineering Drawings etc.)” or the Reference Engineering Drawing Automated Retrieval System (REDARS)
  • Experience in a role that required creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills, strong collaborative skills, strong written and verbal communication
  • Experience working collaboratively to reach decisions that are mutually acceptable to multiple engineering and support teams (2 or more exp)
  • Willing to work 2nd shift
  • 3+ years experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard
  • Experience with the following types of hand tools (calipers, digital optical micrometers, depth gages, thread gages, go no go gages, etc

Responsibilities

  • Gains understanding of the principles for development or improvement of inspection techniques.
  • Verify conformance to drawing dimensions, tolerances, geometric tolerances, and specified finishes.
  • Gains working knowledge of basic setup and calibration of specialized test or measurement equipment.
  • Follows documented procedures to perform functional performance requirements and critical dimensions/features called out for inspection.
  • Perform routine inspection analysis based on statistical data to determine product and process conformity.
  • Elevates nonconformance results as required through documented processes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance inspection processes, tooling quality, and supplier performance.
  • Works under close supervision.

  • Summary pay range: $50,150 - $67,850.
