About The Position
Conduct a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that software meet or exceed specified standards and end user requirements. Participate in software development process improvement and compliance to successfully and consistently deliver high-quality software products and services on time, on budget, and to specification, enabling flexibility to react quickly to changes in priorities or circumstances to meet the needs of the business. Enhance QA methodology and ensure compliance by working with management to improve quality and process standards that result in on-time and efficient delivery of systems. Perform quality assurance and testing in an environment that typically uses state-of-the-art software applications testing processes (i.e., testing 'clean room') but may also include manual QA/Testing. Draft, revise and approve test plans and scripts to ensure alignment with standards and IT strategy. Create test data files with valid and invalid records to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow. Collaborate with users to plan user acceptance testing, alpha and beta testing. Ensure that system tests are successfully completed and documented and all problems are resolved. Develop, revise and approve quality assurance and testing policies, standards and procedures. Cooperate in the enhancement of the methodologies employed for test planning and execution, defect tracking, and metric and status reporting. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of best practices. Maintain framework for record retention in order to support internal and external IT audits. Assist with process improvement and compliance to successfully and consistently deliver high-quality software products and services on a timely basis. Work across teams to enhance quality functional testing by identifying and helping to implement initiatives that will improve capability and efficiency. Perform other duties as needed.
