About The Position

This position will work Monday through Friday from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. for an estimated duration of two months. Following this period, the role will transition to a 12-hour 3-4-4-3 shift schedule, including weekends, working 5:30pm-5:30am. Under this schedule, employees work 3 days the first week and 4 days the next, repeating on a rotating basis. All hours worked between 5:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. will receive a 10% shift differential.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in quality assurance, industrial engineering, or manufacturing engineering preferred.
  • At least three (3) years in a manufacturing work environment with a solid understanding of quality assurance and quality control.
  • Yellow Belt Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in using hand inspection gauges, laser profilometer, and contractor inspection equipment.
  • Experience with CPK statistical process control and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Proficient in Measurement System Analysis techniques, such as Gage R&R studies.
  • Experience with visual inspection systems and programming.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of inspection, verification, and containment duties to ensure that products meet specifications and requirements.
  • Verify and document product and process conformance to company standards and requirements.
  • Collect and analyze samples from finished goods prior to leaving the production plant.
  • Contain and report suspect products and processes not in control.
  • Conduct measurement system analysis.
  • Document and report discrepancies and measurement results.
  • Assist with root cause investigations for product and process issues.
  • Monitor key equipment process parameters and maintain inspection, measurement, and test equipment.
  • Process audits and contamination control sampling.
  • Communicate emerging and trending quality issues to prevent negative impacts on production.
  • Provide day-to-day production support on quality concerns.
  • Develop and implement short/long-term countermeasures to quality problems.
  • Address and resolve quality issues efficiently.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuous learning.
