About The Position

As a Quality Technician, you will be a member of the Quality Assurance Team, reporting to a Quality Supervisor or Manager. You will contribute to the success of Ball by inspecting in-process or finished products for quality; based on Ball internal specifications and will advise production on results. The Glendale plant is a high-volume, fast-paced 24/7-365 days/year manufacturing environment. Our crews work 4 days on 4 days off, rotating from days to nights every 32 days (6am-6pm / 6pm-6am).

Requirements

• High School Diploma or education equivalent required.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in a production/manufacturing role.
• Experience maintaining production or quality control equipment.
• Proficiency with computer applications (such as: Microsoft: Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong attention to detail and experience reviewing and understanding graphs and trends.
• Must be able to match colors.
• Demonstrated ability to provide clear and concise communication (verbal and written) in a respectful manner to all levels of personnel.

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years of experience as a Quality Technician in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with depth gauges, dial callipers, and/or automated gauges.

Responsibilities

• Follow all job safety practices and policies including but not limited to: food safety; personal protective equipment; emergency procedures, etc.
• Perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on inspection equipment, as needed.
• Routinely use measuring tools (such as: calliper gauges, micrometres).
• Advise production when inspection results do not meet customer specifications.
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace according to 5S standards.
• Build positive relationships across designated team by effectively collaborating, communicating, and upholding ethical integrity.
