Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to ensure the highest quality standards in our ultra precision optics production. This 1st shift role is perfect for someone who thrives on precision, consistency, and meaningful collaboration with both customers and suppliers and can be productive in an off-shift.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Three (3) years of experience in a quality, inspection, metrology, similar manufacturing role, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of quality systems and standards, including ISO and internal quality procedures.
  • Experience working with optical components and precision-manufactured parts preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions within defined responsibilities.
  • Ability to use relevant computer applications: MS Office, MS Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand both optical and traditional blueprints.
  • Must have strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with optical components and precision-manufactured parts preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and clean precision optical components using established procedures
  • Utilize precision measuring equipment to qualify parts
  • Perform dimensional and surface metrology using standard measurement equipment and advanced systems, Including: Profilometer, Interferometers, Other optical precision measurement equipment
  • Interpret and apply basic blueprint reading skills for inspection
  • Train and teach suppliers on internal quality standards and expectations
  • Engage in direct customer interactions regarding quality matters
  • Handle sensitive optical materials with care and precision
  • Sit for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks
  • Travel occasionally to vendor sites for audits and support
