Job Summary: The Quality Control Technician is responsible for inspecting and testing products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications throughout the manufacturing process. This role involves conducting tests, recording results, and collaborating with production teams to implement corrective actions when necessary. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of quality control principles, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Inspection and Testing: Conduct inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards. Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and testing equipment to evaluate product specifications and performance. Identify and document defects or deviations from specifications and communicate findings to the quality control supervisor and relevant departments. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspection results, test data, and quality control activities. Prepare reports summarizing findings, trends, and recommendations for improvement. Assist in the development and maintenance of quality control procedures and protocols. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with production teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and implement corrective actions when necessary. Participate in team meetings to discuss quality issues, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives. Train production personnel on quality control standards and best practices as needed. Continuous Improvement: Assist in root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts to identify and address quality issues. Collaborate on quality improvement projects to enhance product quality and reduce defects. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in quality control methodologies. Compliance and Safety: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while performing inspections and tests. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies related to quality control.
