Requirements

Prior experience in quality inspection, especially inspecting setup and in-process parts is desired but not required.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong math skills and the ability to use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
Experience with CMM operation and programming is desired but not required.
Familiarity with Faro arm operation and programming is preferred but not required.
Strong working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
High school diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency required.
Preferably a degree or certification in CNC machining, or vocational/trade school training.
Strong problem-solving skills and a fast learner with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
Strong team player with an intentional attitude of helpfulness and collaboration.
Ability to work within set first shift hours, with flexibility for overtime when necessary.

Nice To Haves

Faro arms
Experience with CMM operation and programming is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform inspections of setup parts and conduct in-process inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.
Conduct on-the-floor part inspection audits to maintain production quality.
Operate and program CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) for inspections, ensuring the highest standards are met.
Utilize tools such as calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, height gauges, and Faro arms (preferred but not required).
Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards to inspections.
Maintain a clean, organized workstation and workspace that supports efficiency.
Use Lean concepts to improve processes and minimize waste.
Work collaboratively within a team environment, supporting colleagues as needed.
Follow and implement the company’s mission statement and operating principles.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of inspection results, including non-conformances and corrective actions.
Willing to work extended hours or additional days when overtime is necessary, as directed by the team leader.
