You support our team as Quality Technician Reports to: Manufacturing Manager We are currently seeking a skilled and detail oriented Quality Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all incoming and outgoing parts meet quality specifications.

Requirements

  • Work experience in a high volume manufacturing environment: Minimum 2-4 years, desired 5 years or more
  • Good reading comprehension of work instructions
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good ability to work in a team environment
  • Good organizational skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Basic understanding of metric system
  • Good math skills
  • Good knowledge of measuring devices
  • Basic experience with quality systems
  • Basic knowledge of CMM - preferred
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Attendance and punctuality

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of CMM - preferred
  • Work experience in a high volume manufacturing environment: desired 5 years or more

Responsibilities

  • Performing incoming goods inspection – IGI
  • Performing measurements and visual inspections
  • Performing calibration and organizing recalibration of measurement equipment
  • Monitoring of measurement equipment
  • Operating CMM
  • Performing quality tests on finished parts
  • Performing various tests – i.e. durability test, push/pull test, climate test, motor performance test
  • Production reporting
  • Communicating with suppliers
  • Creating complaints towards suppliers
  • Following International Automotive Task Force quality standards – IATF 16949
  • Escalation of issues to manager
  • Following Internal Quality Issues procedure – IQI
  • Ensuring safety rules and policies are followed
  • Housekeeping – 5S-Standard
  • Other duties assigned
