Working hours for this position are Thursday - Saturday and every other Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Job Summary The Quality Technician at Jabil, Inc. plays a critical role in ensuring that products meet established quality standards and customer specifications throughout the manufacturing process. This position involves performing a variety of quality control tests, inspections, and documentation tasks to support the delivery of high-quality goods.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in a technical field (e.g., Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Technology) preferred.
  • One to three years (1-3) of experience in a quality control or quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies (e.g., statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis).
  • Experience with various measurement tools and inspection equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM operation is a plus).
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to accurately document data and complete reports.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process and final inspections of manufactured products, components, and assembly
  • Perform in-process and final inspections of manufactured products, components, and assemblies against blueprints, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Conduct various quality tests using a range of measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators.
  • Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, identifying and reporting any deviations or non-conformances.
  • Initiate and assist with non-conformance reports (NCRs) and collaborate with production teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality control plans and work instructions.
  • Support the calibration and maintenance of quality inspection equipment to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist in the development and revision of quality documentation, such as inspection procedures and work instructions.
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits as required.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and other departments to resolve quality-related issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
