About The Position

The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting the quality assurance processes within the organization. This role involves maintaining quality systems, facilitating continuous improvement initiatives, researching customer problem-solving related to defective parts, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. The Quality Technician will collaborate with various departments to enhance product quality and drive process improvements.

  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds infrequently and 25 pounds often.
  • Associate’s degree in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing/Production, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous experience in a quality-related role is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update quality documentation, including process flowcharts, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure that all quality records are accurately documented and stored according to company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in identifying areas for improvement in production processes and quality systems.
  • Support the development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present reports on quality metrics, performance, and project outcomes to management.
  • Blueprint Reading and interpretation
  • Research customer complaints and issues related to defective parts.
  • Analyze returned defective parts and work with engineering and production teams to identify root causes.
  • Develop and implement solutions to resolve customer problems effectively and prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure that all corrective actions related to customer complaints are documented and tracked.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards related to quality.
