About The Position

Mars Petcare is seeking a Quality Technician to join our exciting pet food business at a manufacturing plant in Temple, Texas. We focus our attention on the unique needs of cats and dogs. Shift: 223 Nights (7pm – 7:30am)

Requirements

• Food Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent BSc/ MSc degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of quality management system – FSSC22000, and quality program GMP/ Hygienic design, familiar with legal food safety requirements and food process technology.
• Problem-solving skills and systematic thinking
• Communication and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive the implementation of GMP on-site in compliance with the Mars GMP/ GHP standard, including GMP for production/ engineering and contractor, etc.
• Document control system management, including the Nexus system.
• Develop the quality system training material and training plan and follow the implementation.
• CAPA system follow-up to make sure all CAPA are not overdue.
• Prepare the management review report material.
• Verify the system procedure and regulation requirement compliance in the process.
• Coordinate change management assessment at the site level.
• Complete any other projects assigned by the Line Manager.
