About The Position

Key Responsibilities Be knowledgeable in critical manufacturing process: fabrication, welding, assembly, paint. Become knowledgeable on the Steffes Quality Management System (QMS). Conduct inspections as required: First article, final, and receiving inspections. Reads, understands, and communicates information pertaining to customer drawings, tolerances, specifications, etc. Utilize the Steffes Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for recording data related to inspections, non-conformances, and tool/device calibrations. Conduct tool and device calibrations which includes managing tools sent to third parties. Manage requests submitted for tools/devices. Deliver quality training to all parties of Steffes organization. Measure and scan material/parts under the direction of Quality Engineering. Participate in projects related to quality assurance, quality control, and/or quality improvement. Participate in customer, internal, and/or external quality audits. Effectively and professionally communicate cross-functionally in the organization as relating to product and process conformity. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in collaborative manner with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management. Helps company meet its Strategic, Quality and Safety objectives. Other duties may be assigned. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer knowledge – Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Internet
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, intermediate interpersonal skills.
  • Spelling and reading skills (Basic instructional and technical information)
  • Basic and advanced math skills
  • Self-driven, flexible/adaptable, and able to effectively manage time, priorities, and resources
  • -OR-
  • An acceptable combination of education and experience
