About The Position

We have a 1st shift opportunity in our Quality department! Join a great team and grow your career with us. This is a Temp to a Direct Hire role. ProAmpac is a leader in the packaging industry that provides packaging solutions to various industries. Rate: $20 - $22 / hour, depending on experience. Schedule: Monday-Friday 7AM to 3PM. Overtime is required when necessary. Training: A minimum of 4 - 6 weeks is required once hired. Job Responsibilities: This role is responsible for in-process inspection and testing quality verification. + Ensures all QA bench-top test equipment is calibrated and functioning properly. + Documents. samples and quarantines non-conforming material and maintains other sample requirements as defined. + Follows all safety policies and quality procedures. + Conducts in-process inspections and tests verification for Quality, and Food Packaging Safety requirements. Job Qualifications: + Associates degree is preferred with a concentration in mathematics. + Two to five years' experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. + Prior 2 years quality lab experience in a similar role utilizing testing equipment, strongly preferred. + Strong attention to detail is required for this role. + Strong basic math skills and be able to read a ruler and make measurements. + Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicate, get along with others, positive attitude. + Must be well organized. + Must be comfortable working with quality testing equipment at the site.

Requirements

Two to five years' experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong attention to detail is required for this role.
Strong basic math skills and be able to read a ruler and make measurements.
Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicate, get along with others, positive attitude.
Must be well organized.
Must be comfortable working with quality testing equipment at the site.

Nice To Haves

Associates degree is preferred with a concentration in mathematics.
