What will you do in this role? Plan and prioritize daily work in alignment with the activity schedule. Conduct in-process and finished product analyses, ensuring conformance to specifications. Must be able to keep detailed records, analyze and act on test results. Must be able to utilize statistical process control (SPC) charts to monitor trends and deviations and be able to notify supervisors and quality engineers of out-of-control situations. Develops and maintains inspection reports, issues certificates of analysis (COAs) and ensures product traceability and compliance. Collects product samples from manufacturing for testing following prescribed methods. Must be able to record results and take appropriate action based on results. Responsible for calibration and maintenance of testing equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety standards. Able to communicate with supervisors and quality engineers based on product specifications and control, evaluate test data and interpret results. Must be able to identify and process non-conforming materials, quality alerts, on-holds and rejections and track order status and support material remakes or shipment holds as necessary. Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles to support continuous improvement initiatives and to identify opportunities for process enhancements. Be able to conduct routine audits (SPCSG, NPD, NDC and static audits) and maintain pre-control and control charts and recalculate limits at defined intervals. Must be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams, share knowledge and stay up to date on current issues through meetings, email and reports. Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation for testing procedures, lab procedures and customer orders. Participate in problem resolution, promptly addressing or escalating issues for corrective action as needed.
