About The Position

The Quality Technician plays a critical role in ensuring product and process quality from initial operation through final packaging. This position supports manufacturing operations by identifying quality risks, performing inspections, maintaining accurate quality records, and assisting with corrective actions to prevent nonconforming product. The Quality Technician works closely with cross-functional teams to support ISO-based Quality Management System requirements, continuous improvement efforts, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with 3-years minimum in the role of a quality technician at an ISO accredited organization
  • Candidate must speak and understand English or be bilingual.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with calibration management software a plus but not required.
  • Experience with metal finishing is a plus
  • Associate degree or equivalent in a manufacturing engineer or quality related field preferred or 5 years shop floor experience in troubleshooting bottlenecks using Lean principles.

Responsibilities

  • Recognition of process and product quality from the point of origin/operation to packaging.
  • Provide operational support and guidance if a risk of producing a nonconforming output exists.
  • Possess a basic working knowledge of ISO-based Quality Management Systems: non-conformance and corrective action processes and procedures, segregation, and disposition of suspected nonconforming product prior to release.
  • Customer complaints, Return Material Authorizations (RMA), Continual Process Improvement, dimensional inspection, and verifications.
  • Calibration verification, in-process inspection, first article inspections (FAI).
  • Recording and maintaining records related to nonconforming outputs (logs, spreadsheets, control charts (trending). Negative trends must be communicated to department managers when identified to ensure that the appropriate countermeasures can be taken to eliminate potential risks.
