About The Position

Quality Technician needs to read and understand all customer standardized test method documents. Perform physical property testing within corporate polyurethane quality lab according to the customer standardized documents. Maintain, control, and ensure accuracy of test data. Monitor and ensure testing is performed within Temperature and Humidity control. Update testing matrix daily to note completed testing. Maintain 5S and housekeeping in the lab area daily. Maintain sample and test fixture inventories. Follow all lab safety practices. Participate in ISO 16949 system improvement activities, including but not limited to audits and Proficiency Testing. Participate in Gage R & R studies on lab equipment. Participate in equipment verification. Participate in Quality Planning meetings when required. Be a self starter; to complete all work orders in a timely manner. Abide by all EH&S requirements. Comply with company and departmental rules, policies and practices. Communicate with team members and supervision on all issues, concerns, updates, etc. Perform all roles & responsibilities as defined by the BOS policies & procedures. Perform other duties deemed necessary by the Quality Engineer/Manager or UTC Manager Quality Technician

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 Year of Quality in Manufacturing
  • Strong Formal Problem Solving - 5 whys, 8D
  • Strong Auditing Skills
  • Strong Microsoft Applications: (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
