About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Quality Technician - 2nd Shift (Coils). The hourly rate for this position is $27.90 per hour. The hours for this shift are 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. This position is offering a sign-on bonus of $3,000, paid in two installments, less applicable withholding. Bonus terms: Bonuses are being offered for a limited time only. Applications must be submitted on or after January 1st, 2025 to qualify. Bonuses are only applicable to specific job types and shifts; additional terms and conditions may apply. Why work at Eaton? What you’ll do: PRIMARY FUNCTION: Provide feedback to operators that created quality defects and ask operators if they can offer any suggestions to prevent the defect from happening again. Provide feedback to operators who do not follow established procedures. Do structured or roaming inspections.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED (General Education Degree) is required.
  • The ability to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship is required.
  • Follow established working procedures
  • Be responsible for his/her own work, under minimal supervision and instruction
  • Meet or exceed quality and quantity standards
  • Keep work area clean and orderly
  • Contribute suggestions for methods or product improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
  • Coil winding experience
  • Typing Skills

Responsibilities

  • Write up rejects in Internal Tracking System database.
  • Read and interpret coil winding sheets and specifications for coils.
  • Test coils for proper turns using ratio or turns testers.
  • Evaluate welds for quality in coil winding.
  • Support any issue in Coils or Cores when needed
  • Create or update Quality Alerts, Work Instructions, etc
  • Demonstrate good written and oral communication skills.
  • Perform computer operations in Microsoft Office or other software used by Quality.
  • Must be able and willing to get approved to use Powered Industrial Vehicles and cranes used in coils and cores.
  • Other tasks as assigned
