About The Position

The Quality Technician position at Winland Foods, Inc. is a full-time role based in St. Louis, MO, focused on maintaining and ensuring the cleanliness and operational efficiency of the semolina delivery system. This position requires a self-directed and team-oriented individual who takes pride in their work and is willing to accept total responsibility for the maintenance and sanitation of the semolina delivery system. The technician will be responsible for the cleanliness and operation of various equipment, including silos, blowers, sifters, and roller mills. Additionally, the role involves ensuring AIB and BRC readiness in all assigned areas, which is crucial for maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The Quality Technician will work closely with team members to achieve plant safety, quality, food safety, and operational goals. This includes performing preventative maintenance and general repair work on semolina delivery systems to identify and eliminate system leaks. The technician will also have direct responsibility for compliance with the Master Sanitation Schedule for the semolina delivery areas and will submit daily work assignment sheets to track progress. Regular audits related to Food Safety and 5S will be part of the responsibilities to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). In this role, the technician must maintain a hazard-free work area and adhere to all OSHA requirements. The position requires the maintenance and cleaning of semolina delivery equipment, including delivery lines, couplings, socks, sifters, and mixers. The technician will also need to understand the mixing of chemicals for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and may periodically work in confined areas such as the interiors of semolina silos and dryers. General structural cleaning of the facility, including walls, floors, vents, lights, pipes, ceilings, and windows, will also be part of the job duties. The Quality Technician will perform all other tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall cleanliness and safety of the production environment.
