About The Position
As a key member of the Quality team, the Quality Technician will be responsible for ensuring that Laborie's incoming, in-process and final products consistently meet our customers' expectations. The role involves performing inspection, testing, record review (e.g. DHR/batch record), and release activities for raw materials, sub-assemblies and finished goods; executing First Article Inspection and documenting results. The technician will support the quarantine area including labeling, segregating, and transacting quarantined items; support initiation of non-conforming reports and compliant investigations; and support compilation, analysis, and dissemination of related key performance metrics, reports and charts. Collaboration with production staff on quality discrepancies to support corrective actions is also essential. The technician will perform ERP transactions after quality activities, establish and maintain document databases and filing systems for both electronic and hard copy documents, facilitate external/internal calibrations of measurement equipment, create, review, and approve calibration documents, and schedule calibrations with quality, production, and maintenance departments and external calibration providers. Additionally, the technician will perform sampling for environmental monitoring and/or temperature and humidity monitoring and submit product samples to external labs for testing.
