The position involves performing visual and dimensional inspections of various mechanical components and assemblies to close tolerances, ensuring compliance with blueprints and Heim quality standards. The role requires the ability to read and understand complex drawings and utilize a variety of complex inspection gauges and equipment. The individual will be responsible for identifying defects in surface, dimensional, visual, and non-conformities, and reporting any non-conformance of materials or unusual conditions to Quality management. The position also includes coordinating and performing inspection processes as a Designated Supplier Quality Representative for customers, interacting with customers during source inspections, and completing necessary paperwork. The individual will maintain and update delegation/regulatory documentation, verify material and process certifications for compliance, and pass customer-required Delegation Program Tests to achieve and maintain delegation approval. Additionally, the role involves inspecting and accepting products under the FAA: PMA/TSO program, preparing and signing FAA Airworthiness Approval Tags, and initiating and completing First Article Inspection Reports and other relevant quality reports. The individual will also investigate and analyze quality issues, provide written documentation and reports, and follow work procedures to support department and company goals. Leadership and training may be required, along with maintaining a clean and safe work environment and contributing to a positive teamwork environment.
