This position reports to the Quality Inspection Supervisor and is classified under Global Grade: Grade 16.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 6 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a testing or quality assurance role.
  • General understanding of electrical principles and testing methodologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently (self-motivated and self-directed) and successful at managing multiple priorities.
  • Requires occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, frequent squatting, bending, stooping, sitting and stretching, standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Requires full range of motion including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity, and hand-eye coordination.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive testing work instructions for all product lines.
  • Train testers on proper test methods and procedures – training will include occasional off-shift coverage.
  • Evaluate testing competency of individuals.
  • Effectively use Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook for documentation and reporting.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, managing multiple priorities and tasks efficiently.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing.
