Job Summary: Performs customer verification/inspection on product before shipping direct to customer stock. Must ensure product and paperwork is in accordance to specifications, drawings, purchase orders, and processes. Utilizing your expertise, you will verify product and document packages against engineering/customer drawings, purchase orders and other contractual requirements as specified by operations. Complies with AS9100 / ISO 9001 and other quality system standards. Such activities may include the following as well as other duties as assigned:

  • Work is performed under minimal guidance and assigned in the form of desired expectations.
  • Independent judgment is used to determine best approach and sound reasoning is expected to achieve maximum results.
  • Travel may be required
  • Typically requires a minimum of eight years of related experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • This position will have access to ITAR product and therefore be authorized to access product.
  • This position requires the employee to be a U.S. Citizen or National, or a lawful permanent resident as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20), or a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Nice To Haves

  • Customer delegated source inspection or DQR/DSQR certifications a major plus
  • Experience with QA inspection in electronics / manufacturing environment and defense / aerospace / avionics experience is preferred
  • Receiving, in process, and/or final inspection of electronic, mechanical, and/or electro-mechanical assemblies experience is preferred
  • Experience with any of the following: receiving inspection, in process inspection, final inspection, source inspection, or 1st article inspection including AS9102 FAIR’s
  • Knowledge of QA process with nonconforming material

Responsibilities

  • Ability to read, effectively communicate, and fully understand engineering / customer drawings, specifications.
  • Determine product conformance to customer specifications, engineering/ customer drawings, manufacturer's specifications, customer and internal purchase orders, company processes and procedures and other such specifications and requirements.
  • Ability to read and fully comprehend engineering/customer drawings, specifications, and purchase orders to effectively communicate discrepancies
  • Ability to review and conducts random, scheduled and/or unscheduled audits to determine conformance to customer specifications and technical drawings, manufacturer's specifications, assembly manuals requirements, company processes and procedures and other such specifications and requirements.
  • Familiarity with defense / aerospace / avionics customer requirements and have the ability to understand quality flow downs on purchase orders.
  • May coordinate or assist in developing and maintaining all AS/ISO system documentation, including work instructions and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Tech will be required to get certified for all customers and value add processing.
