BAE Systems is looking for a Quality Tech to join the Quality Control team at the Austin, Texas facility. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time onsite. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3+ years of direct related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working, interfacing and interrelating with diverse personnel, both operational and technical
  • Must exhibit initiative and leadership skills necessary to collaboratively prioritize and adapt daily schedule to best support business critical needs
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in dynamic, cross-functional teams
  • Strong and demonstrated communication skills (written, verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office products including Word, PowerPoint, & Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in ISO 9001 / AS9100 / AS9102
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Environments
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Experience
  • ​​FAI Documentation and Completion Experience

Responsibilities

  • Establishing verification and validation processes for the inspection and acceptance of hardware, software, and data deliverables through First Article Inspections per AS9102.
  • Supporting the execution of an effective ISO 9001 internal audit strategy to verify the conformance of processes in accordance with the QMS.
  • Creating presentation materials for upper management including reports to Customers and Government representatives.
  • Reviews production records for conformance to procedures.
  • Performs analyses, inspection, and tests of material, components, and/or finished products from manufacturing to ensure quality standards, compliance to customer, regulatory and BAE requirements.
  • Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies and data related to production.
